– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the retrial procedures of 5 defendants in the case publicly known as “attacking Atfih police station” for the January 5 hearing.

– The Court of Cassation accepted the appeal submitted by the defendants challenging the ruling handed down to them for insulting the judiciary during the hearings of the case publicly known as “Al-Zawahry Cell” case, and ordered the defendants’ retrial.

– Alexandria Criminal Court ordered the acquittal of 10 defendants in the case publicly known as “January 25 anniversary incidents in Alexandria” after being referred from the Court of Cassation.

– Cairo Criminal Court adjourned the trial of 23 defendants in the case publicly known as “storming prisons” for the December 26 hearing.

– The Supreme State Security Prosecution renewed the detention of photojournalist Islam Gomaa in case No. 441 of 2018, and ordered the detention political activist Ayman Abdel-Moaati for 45 days pending investigations in case No. 621 of 2018.
