Cairo Criminal Court renews imprisonment of “Dar Al-Salam” Metro station youth
Today, Cairo Criminal Court, convened at the Fifth Settlement, ordered the imprisonment renewal of Sayed Mohamed, Ahmed Hamdy, Hossam Ismail, and Islam Mahmoud, for 45 days pending investigations conducted with them. The four were arrested from inside “Dar Al-Salam” Metro station on the 25th of last January, and are accused of joining an unlawful group and spreading false news and data.
The Cabinet approves the amendment of Article 20 of the Penal Code
In its session held today, the Cabinet approved a draft law amending Article 20 of the Penal Code with regard to replacing corporal punishment with forced labor outside prison as a way of rehabilitating those convicted and reintegrating them into the society.
Sohag Criminal sentences defendants of “Administrative Office incidents” case to rigorous imprisonment, while acquits others
Today, Sohag Criminal Court, sentenced 72 people of those accused of the case publicly known as “Administrative Office incidents” to five years in rigorous prison, carried three others a 3-year rigorous prison sentence. On the other hand, it ordered the acquittal of four defendants from the charges of joining a terrorist group and possessing publications and leaflets.
Imprisonment of 5 defendants into “Jerks Union” case renewed for 15 days
During its today’s session, West Prosecution ordered the imprisonment renewal of 5 young men, arrested from inside Al-Azhar Park, for 15 days pending investigations conducted with them in the case publicly known as “Jerks Union”
