Investigating the membership of two parliament representatives

Amman Center for Human Rights held a research debate on "investigating the membership of the two parliament members Dr. Mohamed Abu Fares and Ali Abul Sokar. The participants at the debate concluded that Representatives House should apply clause II of article 75 of the Jordanian constitution, and to respect the desire of the Jordanian people.

    Renewing the Judicial Investigations with journalist Mohamed Al-Foraty

    Arbitrary Detention

    The arbitrary detention in Syria this week included Dr. Gamal Abu Zaid (independent activist). In Qamshely City, some activists were arrested upon their religious background. In Halab City, many Kurdish people were arrested, in addition to the ongoing detention of Haitham Qutaish despite the completion of his penalty period.

    Trials and Investigations

    Eight students are interrogated on account of their peaceful activities. The detainees denied the charges announced against them and claimed that they are tortured.

    Human Rights Higher Commissioner issued a statement to justify the use of violence by Israeli occupation forces against Palestine
